In a modern market economy, the consumer can select commodities widely and freely. However, if there is no correct understanding or sufficient knowledge of commodity and dealings, an unnecessary commodity might be bought as a result, and more payment be made. In the deregulated society of today, where self-responsibility is required, the necessity of consumer education has come to the fore strongly. This emphasizes further promotion of consumer education as the expansion of the payment method using the credit system.
Especially, attention focuses on the pre counseling and the post education that the Federal Bankruptcy Law revised in the United States recently, and how the new law obligates to those who file bankruptcy. This comes at a time when we examine improving the system of consultation and the educational system for consumers who are confronted with money troubles in our country.
