A Consideration of Education about Personal Finance in High-school

  This article deals with the practical lessons of Personal-finance in order to reduce troubles in the future. The person who has borrowed money from the financial institutions has been increasing, however, the various activities for enlightening people have not satisfied their needs, and then they are just ex post fact treatments.

   The law enforcement prevents some financial troubles such as a debt, then it brings the dissolution of over-indebted. However, it is important for each individual to understand a proper way to manage a family budget. This is an article to reveal the insufficiencies in the current educational situation of Personal-finance at school setting, and study its problems. Especially, the financial education at high school deals with the macroeconomics mainly. However, it is necessary to have Personal-finance lessons in order to avoid any troubles. In reality, from the analysis of the National CurriculumEEevision in 1999EEand current textbooks tells us there is no contents regarding Personal-finance education. Therefore, we need to construct the escalating and systematic contents of Personal-finance education.

In the National CurriculumEEevision in 2008?2009E!Ewe see revised studies about financial system and consumers in civics, and added contents on one’s lifetime wage and life style, and pensions in home economics. It focuses the ability of management systematically. In order to follow these changes, we need a new approach positioning it as a career education.
